Javier H.’s Soccer Ball

This soccer ball represents the joy that comes from soccer and the importance of FUN.

As a high schooler, my coach gave me this ball signed by my teammates to celebrate me scoring three goals in one game. While I didn’t become a professional soccer player like I thought I would at that age, I continue to serve my community through the sport.

Now, I host free soccer experiences for youth and adults in the area. We often meet students’ teachers and hear about the importance that soccer plays in their educational success. It reminds me why soccer education is where I belong – and why I want to create that space for everyone.
